Rights of LEP Debtors in Bankruptcy Case 5/10/22

Many of VLP’s bankruptcy clients have limited English proficiency (LEP). These clients are entitled to the same level and quality of service as non-LEP clients. This training will cover what rights LEP debtors have in bankruptcy cases and how to effectively work with interpreters. The training will also include a brief demonstration of a typical client interview for a bankruptcy case using an interpreter.
