Civil Appeals Clinic Training

This training will provide a general overview of the Volunteer Lawyer’s Project’s in-person Civil Appeals clinic located at the Appeals Court. The training will cover the Massachusetts Rules of Appellate Procedure, including key timelines for filing and perfecting an appeal. It will also offer a substantive review of the types of cases volunteers may encounter at the clinic, including family law issues, summary process evictions, and appeals from post-judgment orders in eviction cases.
