Wage Theft Training

This training is designed for pro bono attorneys who would like to represent clients in wage and hour matters. The training will primarily cover the Massachusetts Wage Act (M.G.L. c. 149 and c. 151) and corresponding regulations. Topics will include minimum wage violations, overtime violations, non-payment of wages, unlawful deductions, and misclassification of independent contractors. Where relevant we will discuss the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). After this training participants will be able to participate in VLP’s wage panel and also participate in the Wage Theft Clinic. This training is open to attorneys of all experience levels.
