Limited Assistance Representation

WHY LAR?

We understand that some volunteers do not have the time needed for on-going commitments. Limited Assistance Representation (LAR) allows you to take a case for limited time period, or limited purpose such as a specific hearing.

With LAR, an attorney can even assist for just part of the case — for example in the case management conference, or in a motion to dismiss.

For Lawyer for the Day projects and court clinics, you need to be certified for Limited Assistance Representation.

HOW DO I GET CERTIFIED FROM HOME?

By watching this video and reading through the manual below!
