Consumer Debt Defense Training

The Consumer Unit is pleased to present this training on debt collection defense to new and existing volunteers who want a refresher! Whether you have come to one of our court clinics before, we encourage you to attend. The training will cover the background of consumer debt collection and how the collection industry functions. We will detail how to defend consumers in debt collection cases, focusing on Small Claims Court (where most debt collection cases are brought) and how to get involved with VLP to represent consumers.  This training will be held over Zoom. The zoom link will be sent on the morning of the training.
