Consumer Debt Training

This training is for attorneys of all experience levels as well as law students. Substantive training will be provided on the debt collection industry, common defenses, and litigating affirmative claims. Practical training will be provided on how to represent a low-income debtor in the Boston Municipal Court and District Court. This training will allow attendees to review common paperwork submitted by debt collectors to prove their case and how to investigate defenses and claims based on that evidence. By the end of this training, attendees will be able to represent clients in small debt collection cases.
